Checked availability of safe access to job site.
Checked availability of edge protection (hand rails, toe guard).
Checked availability of sufficient illumination at work spot.
Checked availability of safety belts & appliances.
Checked clearance taken from:
– Electrical / Mechanical Department.
– Instrument Department
– Civil for U.G. Cables & Pipelines
Checked Caution board mentioning ” Job in Progress” installed near working area
Checked availability of sufficient illumination at work spot.
Checked line is isolated by closing Valve & Caution Board for “Job-in Progress” is provided on Valve.
Checked electrical power to Pump/Valve/Compressor Isolated.
Checked Air /Oil from the lines are drained.
Checked availability of Water & fire extinguishers near the working spot.
Checked protection taken to safe guard Electrical cables if any near by.
Checked availability of sufficient illumination at work spot.
Check following before Start work:
– Isolator is switched off.
– Fuses are removed.
– Control supply is switched off.

Permit to Work copy provided on the panel.
Cable is disconnected at machine end / panel end ( as / if, applicable).
Movement of Machine / Part is arrested & display board for “Job in Progress” provided over machine.
Check Proper use of Personal Protective equipment.
Checked absence of hazardous substance.
Checked temperature at the work spot normalized.
Checked availability of sufficient illumination at work spot.
Checked availability of rescue arrangements.
Checked standby manpower deployed. (If necessary)
Checked flammable or combustible materials are removed from work site or covered with Fire – Blanket.
Checked hazardous substance is removed.
Check Fire extinguishers, Inert gas and water available at work site.
