Risk Register

Manufacturing industry working with heavy machinery and heavy equipment, that there are possibility of accident / incident in the workplace where peoples are working, handling and maintain equipment which are huge, hence risk level is also higher than ordinary works, for the lifting, moving works required to heavy lifting equipment and cranes to possible working with machinery that also increasing level of risk. For the risk level reduction and maintain safety in work environment, risk register is help to identification, recording and prioritize risk level to possible reduction level of risk in manufacturing unit.

For the risk register, following example given to identify and recording information, activities of work floor. Risk register can be maintained as below:

1. Risk description – full details of possible risk, there also include past experience that helpful to identified risk.

2. Risk identified date – if the risk is identified, when it was identified, date should mention in field.

3. Risk identified by – who had identified risk, name of the person

4. Impact of risk in other areas, machinery and equipment, peoples are on priories of risk.

5. Locations were risk was identified.

6. Ratings – for the particular risk, which risk level and rating is perfect to works on for the reduction rating to danger to lower level reduction possible.

7. Action plan for the reduction, minimize risk level and rating of the risk in work floor.

8. Target date for completion of risk reduction actions and steps.

9. Status of the risk current possible and work floor condition.
